WHAT DO I NEED TO DO AFTER AN ACCIDENT?
 
   
In the event of an accident, you must stop, it is an offence not to do so. You must give your name and address to anyone involved in the incident along with the details of your car and your insurance provider.
 
   
WILL I GET A COURTESY CAR?
 
   
BG Claims Ltd understand the importance of getting you a replacement vehicle, we work closely with our replacement vehicle provider DH Hire Solutions and Hawk Assist Ltd so that we are able to provide you with a replacement dual control vehicle in the event of a non-fault claim. In the event of a fault claim, we will provide you with a replacement  vehicle for a maximum of 14 days subject to availability and your insurance policy being held with Barry Grainger Ltd.
 
   
WHO WILL REPAIR MY CAR?
 
   
BG Claims Ltd have access to insurers nationwide network of approved garages and repair centres who have been carefully selected because of their excellent track record
 
   
WHAT IS A POLICY EXCESS?
 
   
Policy excess is the first part of any claim you are entitled to pay. Your excess may vary depending on the type of claim or who was driving at the time of the accident. You may also have a voluntary excess to pay. A voluntary excess is an agreed amount at the inception of your insurance policy that would have decreased your annual insurance premium.
 
   
WHAT IS TOTAL LOSS?
 
   
If the cost of the repairs to your car exceeds the cost of replacing your car, then it may be classed as being damaged beyond economical repair (or a total loss)
 
   
WHAT IS THE ‘MARKET VALUE’ OF MY CAR?
 
   
The market value is the cost of replacing your car with one of a similar specification, age, condition and mileage
